key & bones is an idea station for doers and makers. I hope it’s a grown-up version of that book of projects you had as a kid.
You know, the one that made you feel like you’d just unlocked a treasure chest every time you opened it. It’s the skeleton key.

Right now it’s mostly me, Suzanne, with the help of a few very smart, creative friends (and animals). The site is a work in progress. In time, it will grow into a collection of useful knowledge, both new and rediscovered.
If you’re new to the site, you might want to check out one of these popular posts: how to make hard apple cider, dandelion wine, sugar wax (for waxing hair off your delicious bod), kombucha, or garlic oil (an ear’s best friend).
My personal favorites include recipes for seedbombs and Thank You Cookies, Celia Linnemann’s instructions for making elderberry syrup and herbal vinegar hair rinse (so good), as well as a listing of green, natural household cleaners.
More? Make some sumac tea, enjloy some bread and chocolate, toast your health with an oxymel … or mix up Lori Lindgren-Voit’s healthy take on the Waldorf Salad.
Thanks for stopping by!

Many thanks to those who have voiced support and encouragement! It really means a lot.

About the site:
key & bones uses WordPress as a cms on a self-hosted site. Twenty Eleven is the current theme of choice. Oh and big thanks to nrelate for making those sweet “related post” images appear at the end of each post (love those things).
